One simple question

On May 25th, 2009 the customers of Viasat recieved a rather unexpected text message. It was written by Hans Skarplöth, CEO of Viasat, who was asking what they thought was the worst thing about Viasat. Customers were encouraged to visit viasat.se to vote on which sections of the company should be improved – and how.

At the time, the website served as a large opinion survey, visitors could see the results in real time and participate themselves. Once having voted, they where also given the opportunity to give their own ideas and suggestions on how to improve Viasat, based on their own experiences as customers.

In three weeks, Viasat counted 14 485 votes and 5603 new ideas – far more than we could have thought up ourselves in a whole year.
