Save every coin

On September 30th, 2010, the Swedish copper coin was decomissioned. The Swedish Red Cross took the opportunity to collect as many as possible of the 342 million coins for those in need.

Thanks to revolutionary logistics in co-operation with ICA and SEB, thousands of colllection points were created all over Sweden.

The fundraising lasted for 18 months and a huge collective effort was made: All Swedish handbags and jacket pockets were emptied in search for the potential 172 million SEK.

The money went to the charity work done by the Swedish Red Cross. The collected copper coins’ path to those in need was documented on the Swedish Red Cross’ website.
